Hey,
Everything great on this side. Well now anyways, In the middle of the week I was questioning why am i here... again... But I prayed for guidaince to show me why I am here and the in personal study the next morning  I was reading in Helaman and still had time left to read the scriptures and so I was one chatpter from finishing the Book of Helaman and I was like oh I can totally finish it, but had a feeling to go to to D&C 6 and so i did and I starting reading from the beginning. Now I have already read it many times well not the whole thing but you know how scriptures are. Anyways I read Vs. 6-7 and I was like Oh..... Thats why.... So yea that felt like Heavenly Father was speaking directly to me which was cool.

But today we are writing in the stake center and so Super comfy chair nice computer no cockroaches climbing out of the keyboard or sticky keys. Its nice, oh and no teens swearing because of their game. Its funny though, especially because I don't understand what they're saying but its funny nonetheless.

So our member bought us pizza for us... again, they're awesome! Oh and my great Comp E. Xicará
This week felt kinda slow but went by kinda fast I think. Not sure! But today we did something fun! There is a member in our Zone Leaders ward who teachers Tae Kwon Do and so that's what we did today, it was actually really fun and I may be a little chubby, I'm still fit. Like it was cool kicking and then after I showed him my straddle split and I could get my elbows on the floor with ease! Like it was cool to see that I am getting flexible again. Because in the morning it seems like I haven't gotten anywhere but after warming up for a while I was good! :) Then I did a backflip (of course) and most of them I have to tuck hard but this time I landed smoothly and kinda overrated a bit which was cool but I don't do that, that often anymore.

So we are still working with Victor. Mostly we are working right now with the ward and reactivating because that's really the only way we can get in doors is through the members. Actually not really but have more success with referrals from the members.

Oh, and there was another murder close by the other night... I slept through it though so ya, no big deal. (That makes 2 in two weeks)

OH I tried cow stomach this week. It was awful! Like it didn't taste bad but it was like fatty and chewy and yea I can't describe it, but only tried it. It wasn't my meal because they didn't want me to get sick, instead they made these burritos that had like Parmesan cheese in it, maybe more like a fetta, anyways it was awful because it always tastes rotten and usually messes me up but this time nope. But yea that was my week

So for all this fruit I paid a lil bit more than $3 and its all fresh and very tasty in a smoothy
These are my shoes, if you can tell one is darker than the other. Yea that dark one is because it was a terrential down pore which was actually prettycool. Especially seeing ALL of the water run down the mountains so fast. I was actually a lil scared I would be swept away. (there actually wasn't enough to sweep me away)

Love you

Hey,

So not much happened this week only that We Had A Baptism On Saturday!!!!  Super Tuanis!!! (Awesome) Super cool because I honestly doubted her, only because we taught her like 7 times which is crazy fast and she stopped drinking coffee without any problems and it was great. My Comp baptized her and I got to be a witness for her and a kid who was getting baptized at the same time. Then we went to the Sisters area to be witnesses for their baptisms they had which was cool.

One day we went to her house to teach her and we were walking and this super nice  lady stops us and says how handsome we were in our black and white and just talking for a min about the church. Then 10 ft later, not even kidding this guy just starts cussing us out like under his breathe but loud enough to for us to hear. In english and spanish, the F-bomb. So that was fun... cant win...

Walking to church was something new. Well the walking wasn't but we turned to corner to go to church and we see these 2 cop trucks (they are trucks here) in front of the church with caution tape. I was thinking who was shot, just kinda jokingly but then we walk up and this truck had bullet holes in the windshield and so yea that was real interesting. What happened was that this guy was chased by the cops and he stopped in front of the church and then started shooting at the cops and then they started shooting at him and yea good stuff. Before we left I heard sirens and thought I heard gunshots but i thought I was going crazy and it was faint, but nope I did. Fun stuff I know.

Saw Meet the mormons today twice, once in English (which is better) and once in spanish (but the Costa Rica part was better in spanish)

But I think that was all for this week, i felt super long. I didn't feel good yesterday and so we went home early and I went to sleep at like 9:20 and so I got a lot of sleep but still feel super tired, I don't know why. Headaches and Allergies have been up the wazoo this week, so I think it was just sinus pressure.

There is a fair going on and they like BIG fireworks, like those ones that are illegal in the states because they're so big.

So my first haircut from my comp and probably the last one from my comp... Ever... I know...
Then this is me today,

May 11, 2015

Hey!!!
So yesterday after talking to you I could only talk in Spanish and it was good Spanish too, it was so weird!!! My comp even said my Spanish sounded better. It was weird but yesterday was the happiest day of my misión hands down! But yea this week was long for me because I was looking forward to yesterday a lil too much but its because it was once in a long time opportunity. I was thinking last night that in a year we'll be doing that again in a different place but that will be the last time before I come home!!! Thats just crazy thinking that I am almost a 4th way done, thinking about it that way is like wow, its gonna be fast.

So retention for me has been good except Christian(10) who is a little stupid because he is like really catholic still even though he is a member. Like he said a catholic prayer once and doesn't come to church even though his parents and sister go and they were all baptized the same day and yea he is also the one who claims I don't know English.(He explained that Christian had asked a question about a really weird English word and Tyler was like I don't know. Christian was all, "that's because you don't know English". That tells me that Tyler's Spanish must be pretty awesome if the natives don't believe he speaks English :) ) But other recent converts haven't . Like the people here will accept the message and stuff but won't act on it which is just dumb. Loving I know :) No we don't have any Ward missionaries, well not yet. There is a baptism lined up for this Saturday but I'm not sure that it'll work this Saturday because she works all day all week until Saturday and so we have only been able to teach her on Saturdays and Sundays.

I am in Helaman 6 now which is exciting because Helaman 5 was a great chapter.
Jensen and Xicara

Today I bought plantains, 7 for under $2, I think that's a good price. Now I'm gonna get even fatter... but this morning I worked out hard! So it'll be interesting.Oh with the plantains make them with a spoon of butter and a spoon of oil, and they don't have to be black like the skin.

You may wonder if I am holding an alien egg in my hand.... It is....

A member bought us papa johns and they were  gone within 10 min.... Not kidding, well ok only one was but still!

Oh actually those are fruit, they're like pomegranate seeds in a sack, tasted pretty good. But kinda scared me at first

Oh and this is where it came out of...

May 4 , 2015

Oh my goodness! lots of questions!

View from the apartment.
I am better today this past week I have felt home sick because it feels like my first week all over again! Because we're actually teaching actual lessons and its great but I realized that I don't know any of the lessons still... So I  was pretty under the weather because I honestly felt like I was wasting the Lord's time. But then today during my scripture study, well ok I fasted for something, I didn't know exactly what but I wanted to know why I'm here. But I was Reading and found a ton of good stuff. I started with one of my favorite scriptures in D&C 6:20? I think, it talks to Oliver Cowdery but I put my name in and its powerful! But later in that section is another fantastic scripture talking about building your foundation on the rock of Christ and there were like a million scriptures that linked to it and so I was marking my scriptures like crazy and it was really nice. It really helped because it lead me to find other scriptures and yea it was great.

Now my new companion is great... in the work. When we're at home he is different. I am patient with him but some stuff is annoying. Ok so his natural self is in easy terms a player, jokes around a lot... That being said he is a fantastic teacher and he wants me to be a better missionary, like actually talking and actually helping me with my Spanish and everything. Its just at home when he's annoying.  BUT this week we worked so much harder like I found out stuff about people I hadn't even known before and we have a ton of new investigators and yea its great! Oh our investigators name that completed the Book of Mormon in 2 weeks is Guillermo... haha good luck with that name. I'll tell you how to pronounce it on Sunday! The down side is he hasn't come to church yet.
OH yea in the back there is a big "vent" (hole) in the back room, I'll take a picture for next week. Oh and there is no brick... anywhere because its like all drywall and aluminum. Oh but our bathroom is concrete, probably because the drywall wouldn't hold up or I don't know but the construction here is very different.

Oh it has started raining and when it rained it was a good rain, kinda like Florida but Florida still has knarlier storms.

Oh a guy in my Ward here left for the Provo MTC today! He is going to Long Beach, and so I was able to talk to him last night before he got set apart and it was cool because I remember having those same exact feelings and yea it was fun!
Love ya,
Elder Jensen
